G&P Gas Blowback M4 & M16

We've just had a peak of the G&P M4 & M16 gas blowback guns. They do look pretty good, with an all-metal body and fine choice of modifications. We will be posting them in the next few days!

I have to say, that coming from paintball, I initially thought that the electrical system used to power AEGs was the future of air projectile sports.
However, I have studied the sport of airsoft and handled many, many airsoft guns and I've changed my mind. I have concluded that gas is truly superior to electric when it comes to ROF and consistency.
Its interesting that some of the earliest and most expensive guns were gas and that it has taken this long for manufacturers to revisit this tech. I for one am happy to see it and I can't wait to get a tester in the shop!
I think the biggest hurdle now is going to be to keep the price of mags reasonable.
It would be great if the manufacturers could come up with a high cap gas mag!
I look forward to seeing more info!
I agree, I am glad to see that the industry is improving and revisiting the gas system, but at the same time, the technology has another hurdle with prevents it from competing with AEGs etc. Simply, gas guns are subject to the thee laws of thermodynamics which prevent things such as high caps, consistent consecutive shooting (CCS) on full auto, etc. Thermodynamics prevent these guns from operating in cold weather and the material to build very high heat capacity magazines is expensive which is reflected in the expensive price of the magazine. Until we can resolve some of these issues how to work with thermodynamics, I feel these gas guns are at a halt. Especially with companies like WE using low grade pot-metal in their magazines (the actual gun doesn't really matter what it's made of).
