SOCOM Gear Arena 2 Goggles Test! With a 12 Gauge Shotgun!!

Lorem ipsum

Our eyesight is a most valuable sense, something that should not be taken for granted when playing airsoft, which means that buying adequate eye protection is of utmost importance when kitting yourself out to play on the field.

With so much choice out there it may seem quite daunting for the beginner who is not sure which brands to trust. Video tests are great ways of finding out how a goggle fairs when shot at. The ideal result is that the BB would not penetrate the goggles at all with little damage to the surface of the lens. SOCOM Gear have taken the test to the extreme by using a 0.22 subsonic and 12 gauge shotgun to shoot at the Arena 2 Goggles. Obviously, we wouldn't advise that you carry out a test like this, but luckily they have done the test already, so you don't need to. Here's the photo of the Arena 2 Goggles after a 0.22 subsonic round.

It's good to be re-assured when buying safety products, so we are very happy indeed to see SOCOM Gear doing these tests.

We will hopefully be getting the Arena 2 goggles in very soon, you can also find out more info here: www.socomgear.com

Well, Clarence Lai takes his fascination with all things CNC-machined further with his new range of CNC-machined aluminum slides for the Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 / 1911 - there are 38 variations available! From vented two-tone to fully-fledged fish scale slides, this collection has it all, with a variety of different trademarks or engravings. The aluminum used is of the 6061 variety, which is widely used for aircraft structures and CNC-machined to make the most of the tensile strength, which far exceeds that of die-cast metals. Airsoft Surgeon CNC-machined lightweight frames (Hi Capa / 1911)

There is something inherently sexy about CNC-machined parts. Apart from being supremely sleek looking pieces of metal, they are stronger than your regular die-cast metals. Thus, we always appreciate a CNC-machined accessory when it we get our hands on one.

Airsoft Surgeon have come out with some superb accessories in the past, and his new CNC-machined lightweight frame for the Marui Hi-Capa / 1911 series is no different. This frame is CNC-machined with full length monolithic rails, which allows a smooth cycling action with a superior precision fit between the moving parts. The one-piece design is easier to disassemble - just by removing two pins - and offers a higher durability and lighter weight compared to the original TM design.
