The competition has been set up by Redwolf Airsoft in conjunction with Stirling Airsoft:

The Hit or Miss Board is a place where each week (Friday) we at Redwolf, will place an Airsoft Gun or a piece of gear in either the "Hit" or "Miss" side of the board, Of course, Redwolf won’t be the ones deciding, you will have complete control of where we place the gun on our Hit or Miss board by voting right here.

The first product to have its fate decided for the Hit or Miss wall is the G&G GS 550.

The SG 550 (better known as "B-4-6" aka the CT-Only Sniper Rifle from the PC game Counter Strike) is an assault rifle developed by Swiss Arms AG of Neuhausen, Switzerland. The designation SG is an abbreviation for "Sturmgewehr" German for Assault Rifle. The SG 550 is based upon the old SG 540 used by the Swiss Armed Forces. Firing the standardized 5.56x45mm NATO rounds, the SG 550 was designed in the 1970s, it started production in 1986 and was adopted in the 90s to become the Swiss Armed Forces standard service rifle.

The G&G GS 550 is almost an exact replica of the real steel SG550, with the main difference being that the GS550 fire 6mm plastic pellets, whilst the SG550 fires 5.56x45mm NATO rounds!

the GS550 features a very solidly built body, constructed out of metal with ABS furniture; it doesn't rattle at all. The GS550 sports a folding stock, an integral bipod, and imitation night sights that really does improve target acquisition in low light conditions. The bolt handle is capable of locking back when adjusting the hop up, the trigger guard is able to swing both left and right for easier access to the trigger when wearing gloves; The G&G GS550 comes stock with a real-type mag, which holds 30rds and feeds each and every one!

One of the premier CQB skirmish sites in Hong Kong –“City Hunter”, is providing a short training course for girls in Hong Kong interested to become the HK's first all girls CQB Airsoft Team at a very low and affordable cost, the course however will be taught in Cantonese, Mandarin and/or English.

Madbull Noveske KX3: Kaboom!

If you thought that Noveske KX3s had made AEGs loud, try putting one on a gas blowback rifle, WOW is it loud. you will be impressed, especially if you've upgraded it to use green gas. Madbull also recently released their line of KX3s in clockwise, so you wont need to gat an adapter like i did. And with an M203 or other launcher, you get even more 'BOOM'.

The SOCOM Gear MEU is a great starter package for anyone looking for a practical skirmish pistol, it even comes with a lanyard and silencer. Plus you just gotta love those grips. Just need a holster or not if you plan to use that as a primary weapon. That's hardcore.

You know all those times when you think, "That would be a great place to hide!" amongst a patch of bushes, but you're always concerned with how the barrel of your Airsoft gun might give you away? If you thought that all the possible avenues for accessories and add-ons have been explored, then you might want to check out this creation from Knights Armament. Designed for mounting on a picatinny rail, it will hold your iPod Touch neatly in place.

However, the raison d'etre of this cool accessory (and mounting an iPod Touch/iPhone on your gun) is not solely for those who wish to play music/video while they shoot. There have been a couple of iPod Touch/iPhone apps developed that make it quite useful when used in conjunction with a rifle. Bulletflight and iSnipe are apps used for ballistics calculation, and are priced at $11.99 and $4.99, respectively.

Although the concept of a gas blowback rifle isn't entirely new, the recent entry of the Western Arms Gas Blowback M4s has caused a new spurt of excitement in the world of Airsoft. As such, other manufacturers like WE, and INOKATSU have also jumped on to the GBB bandwagon, creating their own M4 (plus variants) gas blowback guns. It all started last year with the magnificent magna blowback Western Arms gun, which shook us (quite literally), leaving us wanting more. And that's what we got! We have seen Inokatsu & WE follow suit with their own GBB M4, and very recently, Socomgear and G&P have showed us their own creations. So how does it fair amongst the ever growing crowd of gas blowback M4 guns?
